Oldest Rock Artwork of Kimberley Kangaroo Found in Australia
Kimberley, a remote region of Australia has been in news recently for the oldest rock artwork of kangaroo which dates back to 17,300 years. The two meter long faded image was dated using radiocarbon technique that analysed wasp nests underneath and on top of the ochre-based paint. The kangaroo painting is found on the ceiling of a rock shelter and it exactly matches with the modern kangaroo.
