L. Ramanujam, 76, passed away in Srirangam. He was an acclaimed teacher and practitioner of Thanjavur painting. He has trained more than 2000 students in Thanjavur painting offering a certificate course.  He is a 2014 lifetime achievement award recipient from the Tamil Nadu government.
